Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: March 2026
Fairy Floss Entertainment is committed to ensuring that every child and family can participate in and enjoy our entertainment services. We believe that inclusion is not an afterthought, it is central to what we do. We welcome all children, including those with disabilities, sensory sensitivities, allergies, and additional needs, and we will always do our best to accommodate your family’s requirements.
Our commitment
We are committed to providing children’s entertainment services that are welcoming, respectful, and accessible to all families. We work to ensure that children with additional needs are included fully in our performances and party experiences, and that no child or family is disadvantaged due to a disability, medical condition, or additional requirement.
Where a standard service cannot meet a specific need, we will work with you to find a suitable alternative or adjustment wherever it is reasonably practicable to do so.
Sensory-friendly performances
We understand that some children - including those with autism, sensory processing differences, anxiety, or other sensitivities - may find certain elements of a standard performance overwhelming. We are happy to adapt our performances to create a calmer, more comfortable experience. Adjustments we can make include:
-
Reducing or eliminating sudden loud sounds, party poppers, and startling effects
-
Lowering music volume or removing background music entirely
-
Modifying the pace and intensity of activities to suit the group
-
Allowing children to observe or participate at their own comfort level, without pressure
-
Providing information about what to expect in advance, so families can help prepare their child
Please tell us in advance. The more we know about your child’s needs before the event, the better we can tailor our performance. There is no additional charge for sensory-friendly adjustments.
Allergies and dietary considerations
The safety of all children at our events is a priority. While we do not provide food as part of our standard services, we recognise that some of our materials such as face paints, props, or craft supplies may contain ingredients that could affect children with allergies or skin sensitivities.
-
All face paints we use are professional-grade, celiac and gluten intolerance friendly, hypoallergenic, and certified skin-safe, but we recommend that families of children with known skin sensitivities or allergies notify us prior to the event. We use Mehron, Fusion, and TAG branded face paints.
-
We are happy to provide a full list of ingredients used in our face paints and any other materials on request.
-
We will never apply face paint or use any material on a child without the consent of their parent or guardian.
-
If a child has a known allergy or skin condition, our performer will conduct a patch-test or skip face painting for that child entirely, whatever the family prefers.
Assistance animals
We warmly welcome assistance animals at all of our events. Assistance animals including guide dogs, hearing dogs, and other trained support animals are permitted at any event we attend, in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and applicable state legislation.
If you or your child will be accompanied by an assistance animal, please let us know at the time of booking so we can ensure our performer is aware and prepared.
Requesting support
We encourage families to get in touch with us at the time of booking to discuss any accessibility needs, additional requirements, or adjustments. Early notice helps us prepare and ensures we can deliver the best possible experience for your child.
You can contact us by phone or email; whichever is more convenient. All accessibility requests are treated with respect and complete confidentiality. You will never be charged extra for reasonable adjustments.
No request is too small. If you are unsure whether we can accommodate something, please ask. We would rather know in advance than have a child miss out on the day.
Feedback and complaints
We take accessibility seriously and are always looking to improve. If your accessibility needs were not met, or if you have suggestions for how we can be more inclusive, we would genuinely like to hear from you.
Please contact us directly to share your experience. We will respond promptly and take any feedback seriously. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your concern, you may contact the Australian Human Rights Commission at humanrights.gov.au or on 1300 369 711.
